Punta Ala, April 2nd 2016. The final test of the new sails of Cippa Lippa 8 ended today. The Cippa Lippa 8 is a Cookson 50 owned by Guido Paolo Gamucci. In the past four years, the boat was progressively modified and optimized and today is a highly competitive boat. The sails are 100% produced by the Florence based sailmaker Millenium Technlogy Center, with Millenium Carbon and Monolithic technology, that are both patent held by the company. Monolithic is an innovative technology that allows building Carbon sails in one piece with spread fiber. This sail guarantees the best performance, both in regattas and in cruises. This year the Millenium Technology Center research on the boat focused on Gennakers too and Matteo Holm was the responsible. After several victories in the past years, the Cookson 50 will take part in the following offshore regattas: – Roma per tutti (10-17 April) – Tre golfi (13-21 May) – 151 Miglia TAT (2-4 June) – Giraglia (10-18 June) – Copa Del Rey (30 July-6 August, Palma de Majorca) – Rolex Middle sea race (22 October, Malta) The strength of the team is a group of friend, supported by Roberto Spata at the strategy and Matteo Holm at performances. Guido Paolo Gamucci who is also a friend of the Milenium Technology Center commented: “I have been owner and regattas participant in the past 20 years and the Millenium Team has been followed me with care, experience and attention. They have always proved to be focused on high quality and innovation with competitive prices.” Good Luck to the owner and his team for the next regattas.
